Can you give a bunny a bath because mine is dirty

Dear Alex,

You should never bathe a rabbit.  It is stressful enough to cause serious illness or death, in some cases.

If your bunny is dirty, here are some tips for safely getting him clean:

But a healthy rabbit is almost never dirty.  So please be sure there is not a medical reason for his being dirty (e.g., messy bottom?  See:  www.bio.miami.edu/hare/poop.html ) and have that treated.  You can find a good rabbit vet here:
