Question
My father-in-law has a few domestic rabbits. One of these gave birth within the past 24 hours. She pushed or the babies fell out of the pen killing all but one. He tried to give it back to her , but she won't care for it. He brought it to me. I found via web that feeding it he kitten replacement milk @2-3 ml per feeding 2xday is good and that washing it's bottom with a moist warm cotton ball will help it potty. Is there any other helpful advise you can give? I currently have it in a fuzzy slipper, in a topless shoe box that sits in a small cat carrier to keep it safe. What temp is good to keep it in? Should we try to give back to the mother again and how will I know if she wants it? Thanks for any and all help.

Answer
There's a lot of good information on this at http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabcare.html#baby
I keep a heating pad on medium and put it under the box I keep the baby in.

If she has rejected him once, she probably will again, so I wouldn't even try.
