QuestionGood afternoon, I have a rabbit who seems to have a sensitive stomach. Since 11/14 she seems to have gotten little episodes and one big one of g.i stacis. What do you recommend for a specific diet to prevent this from happening so often?
I have other rabbits who get treated and fed the same and have not had this issue.

With chronic ileus and GI slowdown, the problem is usually not the GI tract itself. More often, there is a cryptic health problem triggering the GI problems with stress and pain to the bunny. Two very common causes are improper diet:

To get to the bottom of this, find a good rabbit veterinarian who can do a very complete dental exam, checking deep in the mouth for molar spurs or other problem. I hope you can find one with the referral list here:
