Question
I have a pet female rabbit that got lose and had babies that died a few months ago. She has just lately started to bite when I go to feed her or clean her cage and litter pan out. What can I do? as I have small children and they love the rabbit, but I am afraid she may bite them as she has bitten me enough to bruise my hand. Now I am getting afraid of her. She is about 9 months old?  HELP. I do not want to destroy her!
            Thank you,

Answer
Make sure you place your hand in the cage at or below her level. Reaching above her only intimidates her and that makes her situation worse. Try petting her and talking to her before you do anything with her stuff. It may be nessesary to remove her from the pen before cleaning. She may just be trying to protect her things.
