Question
the last couple of days i have found some blood in the hut. i have no idea what it is got any ideas what it might be??

Answer
Dear Georgia,

Without examining the rabbit for injuries, I can make only some educated guesses, but I hope they will steer you in the right direction.

If the bunny is an unspayed, unbred female, then it is possible she is bleeding from the vulva due to uterine hyperplasia or cancer, which is common in unspayed/unbred females.  The only real solution is a spay operation as soon as possible.  Please read:

www.rabbit.org/health/spay.html

and find a good rabbit vet here:

The problem also could be something as simple as a broken nail, but that, too, should be disinfected and protected.  I would bring the bunny inside and give her a complete "once over" to see if you can find the source of the bleeding.  If you can't, then I would still get her to a good rabbit vet for a complete checkup--especially if she's an unspayed, unbred female.

I hope this helps.
