Question
Hi,

How would you recommend cutting a rabbit's nails? Would you use regular scissors or a special pair? What's your opinion?

Answer
It's much easier if you use pet trimmers to cut the nails.  For rabbits, the small size trimmers work well.

Cutting the nails can be tough if they rabbits aren't used to it yet.

Some people get better behavior from their rabbits if the rabbits are placed on a counter or table.  I prefer to sit down, put the rabbits on their backs in my lap and cut them.  But if a rabbit isn't used to being on it's back, it may fight or squirm quite a bit.  Some people do the "bunny burrito" and wrap their rabbit in a towel for grooming.  I've never been adapt at it, but this site has a picture of a bunny burrito-ed rabbit:

When you determine what works best for your rabbit, you can then do your first trim.  If this is the first time, for the both of you, you may want to just take a little off.  This site has some instructions for nail trimming:
