Hi, I have a five month old female mini rex she is very sweet and very tiny, I can't spend much time with her and was wondering if I should get her a friend or two, would she get along with one or two, two month old female bunnys in a larger cage? or would a single male kept beside her cage until I get him neutered be better? would they live together peacefuly after he is neutered? could the male be a larger breed like a mini lop, full sized rex or normal sized rabbit?
Answer -
It's going to depend on her, but I would go for the male that is getting neutered.  He could stay with her, but as soon as he develops his parts, they would have to be separated until after he is neutered and his hormones die out (2-4 weeks).

The male could be any breed, just someone that she gets along with (rabbits don't always get along with each other).

You can read more about how to pair rabbits at http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/introductions.html.

And just remember, it only takes 30 seconds for a female to get pregnant, so you definitely want to keep them apart til he's neutered.

Hello, I have decided to get a pair of meduim/large breed female bunnys(same litter) and keep them in a cage beside hers, these bunnys will be 6 to 12 weeks old, is there a chane that they could live together if I tryed letting them out together several times a day? it doesnt really mater but if she'd like to cuddle with them I don't see why I shouldnt try, also what do you think about housing bunnys with guinea pigs? I will be getting two same sex piggies when I get the bunys(the person I'm getting the bunnys from sells piggies too) could I at lest try housing them together and see if it works?  can they exercise together when out of cage if I don't hosue them together?, thank you for your time.

Answer
The two from the same litter will definitely get along, it's just a question whether your bunny will get along with them.  You can try letting them out together, but be ready to separate them if you see fur flying (literally).

I have seen and heard of housing rabbits and piggies together, but you might read this to see what you think - http://www.angelfire.com/mi/FAST/bunniesandpiggies.html.  The only complication is that guinea pigs have to be given supplemental vitamin C since they can't produce it on their own.
