finding a breed

Hi
A very close friend saw a rabbit in a pet shop and fell totally in love with it, it was small with long very curly hair. she said it looked like it had had a perm!
We have scoured the internet to no avail so thought it time to ask an expert.
your assistance would be greatly appreciated and i look forward to receiving your response.

A long haired breed would be an angora or a lionhead. Some rabbits have different genes and the curly hair could be a recessive gene in either of these breeds. Without a photo to consult then i can't say with 100% accuracy what the breed is, but my guess would be angora.
