bunny colds

i am currently sick and am afraid it may be pnuemonia.is it ok to do my regular routine with my bunny?will i get him sick?thank you!

Hi,

If you can be more cautious around him that would be best.  Sometimes there are flus and such that can pass on to pets.  Bird flu, for example can go between people and rabbits.

So if you can make sure to even just put a little mask on or just avoid coughing on him or in his food/water, anything you can do will help reduce the possibility that if on the slim chance it's something that he could pick up, you'd reduce his exposure to it.  Always make sure hands are clean before handling his food and water, especially when sick.  Or petting him, as they are constant groomers and could easily ingest something off his fur.
