shedding

Question
I have a pair of 1 1/2 year old Mini Rex bucks, they have been shedding heavy for 8 months now. I have played with there diet, but no change. Any ideas?

What it sounds like to me is they started to molt, which can take up to a month to fully finish, and when you changed their diet you forced a molt on to them.  First thing is to leave the diet alone for 2 months and see if they quit.  If not as long as they have no hair blocks (I suggest petromalt to help control this) and no bald spots or sores.

THis does sound excessive however, so keep an eye on your rabbits to make sure there are no other changes.
