pot bellied pig hooves and walking

Question
I adopted a 5 yr old pot bellied pig about 1 yr ago. I noticed today that she has started walking with her front legs bent (like us walking on our forearms) instead of on her hooves.  she did stand and walk on her hooves for a few seconds but went back to walking with legs bent.  what could be causing this?  i was told that she had her hooves trimmed when i adopted her and that she wouldnt need another trim for approx 2 yrs.

Answer
She may be too overweight for her frame, which is common in this breed.
Or her hooves may be too long, stretching the tendons.
Most pigs, if they have leg problems at her age, it is because they are carrying too much weight....it could be a whole plethora of other causes....arthritis, bad legs because of genetics, she may be down on her pasterns...
How much does she weigh?
Does she have large jowls and a pendulous belly, and little thin legs?
We suggest you take her to a vet.
Good luck,
Pris
