Momma pigs wean their babies at 8 to 12 weeks of age. A baby that's about 4 weeks might explore what Momma pig is eating. They'll take a bite of food, play with it, and spit it out. By 6 weeks, a baby will be chewing and swallowing, and by 8 weeks baby will be eating right along with Momma pig.

Younger piglets can learn to eat on their own if necessary, but there is no food or nutritional supplement that's as healthy for them as mother's milk.
