Answer
Hello Eena

Your rats are so cute. I love baby rats and in particular, PEWS are one of my favorites aside from the black rat.

As for adapting to temp changes, they are not the best at adapting to extreme changes and should be kept in temps no less than, say, 70 degrees Fahrenheit and not above 85 degrees Fahrenheit. 85 may be pushing it  but its impossible to get the ideal temp since some rats adjust faster than others.

As for managing on their own, it would not be very fun, of course, to try to stay warm if they are solo, but they usually get in a big rat pile to stay warm. They like to nest so provide nesting material such as fleece material, white paper towels (let them shred it, they will love it) even soy based ink shredded newspaper is ok to give them to build nests but do change out the nesting material daily if they urinate in their nest. Some do, some don't.

As for food, they should have food down all day long and eat at their own pace.  The reason is because some rats hoard food if they dont have access to it at all times. Rats wont over eat, they get fat from eating the wrong foods.   As for sweets, keep it to a very bare minimum.  Chocolate bits once a week, thats fine, but try to avoid alot of sugary stuff.  Keep it healthy. The healthy rat should be on a diet low in protein and fats. Please refer to my Critter city site for info on proper diet.
