QUESTION: I did not seen a vet for this, but i read most of your website and yes I did found the answer for the respiratory infection, I am helping her with doxyciclin and 2.5mg two times a day. but my consern is about the lump on her mouth what I can do for help her? do you think is it curable or is it better put her to sleep? if it is the best to put her to sleep, how I can do it? Thnks Sandra for take the time to read my words. Thanks for help me.

Answer
No I would not suggest having the vet put her to sleep since she has not even been given the chance to get better from this.  It may be able to be treated by the vet. No reason to end her life for something like this unless she is suffering and it seems to me that this may be able to be removed by the vet. As for putting her to sleep, the vet would do this also ONLY if your rat has no quality of life.  At this time I suggest having the vet see her.
