My friends pet rat has been sneezing for about a week, but today it had a bad sneezing fit and there was a lot of blood coming from his nose and he is making  a squeaking noise when he is sneezing - he is only a year and a half old

Is there red crust around the rats nose and eyes? Is he eating and drinking?

Sounds like a mycoplasmosis flare up, which is why I gave you the link above so you can read about it. He will need a vet to get better. If you need names of a vet that will care for rats, they are usually exotic vets and are no more expensive than regular vets, sometimes they are even less expensive.   Let me know if you need help finding one.
