Rat fleas/ticks

I have recently purchased 2 baby rats (about 2mnth old) they are both scratching alot, my wife noticed a little black bump on the rats side close to the underside. is this a tick? should we take her to the vet? there diet comprises of hamster meal with the ocasional chocolate and or biltong.

I am thinking it could be a tiny abscess....not a tick

Also, she needs off that hamster food right away. This will put her kidneys in danger of disease later in life.  Rats should not eat food meant for other rodents and esp if its a seed mix.
