QuestionI have a male pet rat called "forrest" who is getting older each day (i think he is 2 years) and he has recently developed this shaking in his hind legs (but nowhere else). my mum seems to think its similar to that of the human condition "parkinsons". what do u think it is?.....is it serious?....if so what should i do?
AnswerNo, they dont get Parkinsons, but it does sound like he has hind leg paralysis starting, which first makes the legs weak and even shaking too.
Please read up on it and learn more about the older senior rat and what to expect from them. Its not serious, just need to make some changes to help him adjust to his golden years.
