biting budgie

HI thamks for any help. We have bought our first budgies, one blue and one yellow and blue. my son is 8 and has waited a long time to have them. However we can not handle them we think thay are about 3 months old but to be honest with you they draw blood from my hands every time i handle them i have deep puncture wounds it it vary painful. They are impossible to catch and a much as i love them thay are not the happy little chappies we wanted. How can i stop the biting and i need some advice on wing trimming. thanks so much caroline

hello,
most budgies are not tame unless they where hand-fed. The most I can say is keep trying to handle them maybe get some gloves. To trim the wings just cut the tips of the wings you should be able to feel the feathers getting thicker.
