cockatiel hurt

Hi, I had an accident with my lovely cokcatiel early, He was on my back
talking to my shoe I think, I kneeled down to fix something and when I
stood up he flew off in distress. I realised his tail was missing, I
looked down and there was a hadfull of feathers.

He was in schock and thenI noticed small blood drops, he had bled a
little. Then I checked a feather and it looked like blood at the end of
it.

Although he 's back to normal now I worry about his health, I think he
has stopped bleeding now and he's eaten, do you think it could be more
harmful?

Oh I'm so sorry I know you must feel terrible! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take your bird to the vet ASAP if he has been in any kind of shock and has any kind of injury the vet will be able to help. Even if he seems back to normal it is birds natural tendency to act normal even when they are extremely sick. I hope you little guy gets to feeling better soon. Please rate my response --Kelli
