degus bald patch

hi can you help, i have 2 male degus one has a bald patch on his back about the size of a 20p coin, any idea what this can be

Sometimes degus get busy grooming each other and just get a little overzealous...hence the bald spot.  Don't worry, it will grow back.  I have one who had hers (after about the 20th time of going bald in the same spot) grow back solid white.  Once in a blue moon you'll have one get a bald spot from mites, so check it well--especially if you've put in branches from outside or introduced a new goo.  If it's just the same old stuff, you can be almost certain it's just from over-grooming, and not a cause for worry.
