Chinchilla Diarrhea

Hi. My Chinchilla has diarrhea for about three weeks now. I read on the Internet to give it the medicine Kaopectate three times a day, but he will not take it and I have so much trouble trying to give it to him. I put it in his water, but the amount is not sufficient. I thought that it would pass through his system by now, but it hasn't and I don't know what to do. Thank you.

If you put it in his water try mixing it with a small amount of ribena.  Alternatively you may need baytril which is only available through veterinary surgeons.

I would take him to the vets now.  It could be something he has eaten so you need to get him seen to
