Not wanting human contact

Question
Hello
I have a year old rat called Noah that I took away from an exfreind who I know has mistreated him. Noah refuses to have any human contact and becomes very aggresive when I go to pick him up to clean him out and has on two occasions drawn blood. I have tried everything to win him over but still he will not be handled or touched. I thought about a companion for him but Ive just lost my other rat who died a week ago at the age of six so I dont realy want the emotional termoil of another rat. He is such a lovely rat realy he is just scared.
If you could give me any advise on how to make Noah's life better I would be most gratful.

Answer
Usually rats like this will never trust anyone again and are very hard to tame.  You should probably handle him with gloves in an enclosed area.

If nothing works then you should just look after him as best you can and keep talking to him.

Try rat websites on the internet to find hints on how to help him

Thanks
