On average, a guinea pig grows to be between 9-12" long.  This is, of course, an average -- some are smaller, and some are bigger.  However, if you are concerned about the living space for your animal, just be sure the guinea pig has at least 1 1/2 sq. ft. of space.  That's all you need for one animal.  Of course, the more room the animal has, the more active and happy he will be.

Hope this answers all your questions.  If you have any further questions or need clarification on any issue, please feel free to contact me.  Good luck!
