our guinea pig

In our booklet over how to care for our guinea pig, it is stated that it is necessary for "her" to get 25 mg. vitamine C.  Everywhere, in literature, it is clearly stated that guinea pigs need lots of vitamine C. I am however advised against putting vitamine drops in the water bottle.  My question is:  just exactly how much "green pepper" and endive for example is enough per day?  How much fruit makes 25 mg?

Don't worry too much about measuring exactly the right amount of vitamin c. My advice is to use a dry mix food with added vit c, and a wide variety of vegetables, those containing vit c and also those that don't. Give orange segments once per week, always a good idea.
