Guinea Pig Behavior Trouble

Question
I have a guinea pig Graham-Cracker. She is healthy and is okay with being petted. However whenever I pick her up she bites my shirt and jerks her head back a couple times. Shes also bitten my very hard on the neck quite a couple times. Its even worse with others though. She seems to be more afraid of others more than me and bites their hands if they don't leave her be. I also had another Guinea Pig who was very sweet but Graham-Cracker barbered her along her side till the skin was showing and left a large scar. That guinea pig recently passed away. Im just don't know what to do about Graham-Crackers biting.Others told me that she was use to people enough so for about 3 months I tried to hold her as much as I could but she still hasnt changed.

Answer
Hi Paisley

The sad truth is that some pigs just dont much like being handled. Alfie, one of my boys is a bit like this. You might just have to settle for petting Graham-Cracker and leave her be.

Its important to point out that pigs dont bite out of aggression but out of fear.

Good luck
