health of mi guineapig

My guineapig is about 4-5 years old she is quite fat and has just been sitting in the same spot for ages so the urine collects on her bum and also one of her eyes has gone complelty white i think shes blind and the eye also is sagging a bit.She doesnt look that well.What shall i do and how can i help her? does this mean she may die soon ?
and theres no point in taking her 2 the vets because they might put her on a diet and need specila food or an operation for her eye that will be very expensive and theres no point doing it if shes going 2 die soon.

Hi Amy

It is true that your piggy is quite old so she might be less mobile because of this. If she is still eating and drinking well then she will be perfectly happy.

The best thing you can do for her is to change her toilet corner several times per day to keep her clean and give her lots of love and attention.

If there are any other signs of ill health please let me know, but it sounds like she has a cataract in her eye which is quite normal in old age.
