Balding Guinea Pig, Dead Babys

We have a guinea pig that has lost a lot of hair on its back and we thought it might have mites. We have been teating it with tea tree oil and putting utter cream on it to help. Today we noticed a mound in it's cage and found a huge dead baby buried there. What is going on?

it sounds like your guinea pig gave birth to a still born. Did you know she was pregnant? Is the oil helping with the bald spots? I'm a very worried about the guinea pig. I'd personally take the guinea pig to a vet to get looked at. Does the balding area have any type flakey skin or scabing? It could be mange mites and you would have to go to a vet for medication. There's a lot of stuff going on with her at one time and I truly believe the best thing to do is to go to a vet.
