Two Males

Hi ya

I have two males 100% definate - and one of them keeps trying to, for want of a better word, mount the others head - and basically I was wondering if this was ok - or should we maybe seperate them, I only ask because I did this last night and they started to pine for each other - They also seem to be pushing there faces together quite alot

Hi Mick,

Mounting is a very normal behaviour for guinea pigs, regardless of the gender mix. It is a dominance behaviour - the one who is mounting is bescially saying "I'm the boss here". It is nothing worry about.

The throwing their faces up in the air close to each other is also normal - another dominance act.
