Zippy

Hi!  I just wanted to let you know that I took Zippy to the vet this morning.  He had pneumonia with the help of not eating, and the vet said it was best if we put him down, so we did.  I am so heartbroken.  He also said that he may have been sick when I bought him from the pet store.  

Anyway, I took my son back to the pet store, and we purchased another piggy.  This time I took him straight to the vet as soon as I got in town.  He is really healthy, weighs a good 2-3 pounds and is around 6 months old.  We named him Pepper since his is black and white.  

Maybe I will have good luck with Pepper.

By the way...what type of bedding is good?  I have cleaned the pen out with hot soapy water to kill all the germs.  I put a thin layer of pine chips on the bottom to absorb urine and then a thick pile of timothy hay bedding on top.

Yes, I hope to that pepper has a healthy and happy life with you.

The bedding you are using sounds fine to me, although you can easily use newspaper to soak up the urine.
