Guinea Pig cant stand up straight

My wife works at Petsmart, and recently, someone brought in a guinea pig that she stated had something wrong and couldn't stand up. Petsmart decided to take the pet in and care for it, and took it to the vet. Upon examination it was determined the pig was probably dropped from a high distance. The pig seems to be in no pain, but cannot stand up. My wife decided to bring it home to care for it, and when we try to stand it up straight, it's wee head turns sideways. It seems like its equilibrium is gone. It always turns its head the same way. It is able to eat and drink just fine, and the vet prescribed 30 days of steroids, but I'm really worried about this little guy, since the clinics around here are TERRIBLE. He is full of energy, and seems happy, any help here? Thanks!

If you are right and the pig has been dropped then the symptoms you describe are a natural result of the fall. Muscles in the limbs are damaged and will take time to repair.

Do any of his limbs seem limp at all or does he fight when you try to hold them. Please try that and let me know.
