QuestionMy Annie suddenly passed away on Jan 3rd of this year. She was fine before I went to work. She ate, drank , and did her normal things. She was only 2 years and 8 months old. I miss her so much. I did not have an autopsy done. My vet did however feel she may have had a heart attack. She showed no signs or syptoms of being sick. I had her cremated. The person who performed the creamation did tell me that her heart looked rather enlarged for a guinea pig. Is it possible that she could have had a heart attack? Please help.
AnswerHello Tia,
Yes, she could have had a heart attack. She may also have had heart disease and died of heart failure. An enlarged heart is often a sign of heart disease. I'm so sorry you lost her so suddenly. I know how painful it is to lose a precious pet. In case you would like to create a memorial for her, I will give you a link to a wonderful site where you can do just that.
