Question
I have been breeding guineas for several years know and my latest sow is heavily pregnant with her second litter. I have kept a goo diary of my dates and she is approx 79 days pregnant. I would appreciate any advise you could give me. Otherwise she is in good form and eating well with no other problems apperent

Answer
Hello, well the best thing to do is to wait and be there for the birth. Some people will take their guinea pigs to a vet during pregnancy to make sure the babies are okay and healthy and to make sure the mom is still okay. The best thing to do though is to make sure she stays safe and doesn't hurt herself by jumping off of something and just keeping her happy and healthy and feeding her lots of timothy hay and some alfalfa hay. :-) You're doing a great job and after this pregnancy I wouldn't let her have anymore pups since more than 2 births can put your mother in jeoparady as well as anymore pups. Good luck and keep me posted on your babies that are born. I'm so excited for you!
