introducing two males

Hello,  I bought our first cavie about six weeks ago.  He is doing very well but we thought we'd get him a playmate so he wasn't lonely.  The gal at the store said they may fight and not get along.  Mine is about 3 months and the one we want is about a month.  Is this a good choice or do they need companionship?  Before I invest in a cage suited for two I want to be sure this isn't a bad idea!!  Thanks so much.  Lauren

I think getting two guinea pigs is a great idea!! The one month old guinea pig should fit fine. Guinea pigs do better with a partney, they are more active, lively and a lot more fun to watch.
