QuestionI have six guinea pigs, it was an unwanted litter because we thought both were girls but one turned out to be a boy so we separated them so we don't get an unwanted litter again. Now whenever I put one of the babies with the Dad he purrs and bites its butt, What could this mean? Thanks again.
AnswerHi Ardalan,
I'm glad you finally figured out the problem, and that the males and females are seperated now.
Don't worry about the purring and nipping. It's normal guinea pig behavior. As long as there is no fighting to the point that blood is drawn, let them work it out. For more information on introducing guinea pigs(you may have to scroll down a little bit before you come to the part about introductions) go to http://cavyspirit.com/sociallife.htm .
