re: guinea pig losing hair

Hi!  I have a guinea pig and her name is Squeaky but she is shedding not in clumps or that but when you hold her etc.  She seems not to be scratching or anything just shedding, I asked the pet store but she did not know anything about this she suggested brushing her with a soft brush?

Is there any possibility that your pig is pregnant? The reason i ask is that some hairloss is a sign of pregnancy.

Can you give me some more information so I can consider your question further.

Is your pig long or short haired?

Is there any particular part of her body that the hair loss is happening.
