My Guenie pig died

My gueanie pig died later and the other one is really lonely now. Although my mum and dad are really upset too we cant afford another one. Will my gueanie pig die of lonlieness or will it get better if i pay lots of attention to it? My grandpa thinks we should get it put down is this right? Please Help!

You will have to pay lots of attention to your guinea pig and help keep your piggies mind occupied and off of the  passing of his friend. How old is your guinea pig?? Guinea pigs generally live 6-8 years and unless your guinea pig is honestly suffering or in a lot of pain that can't be helped by a doctor that's when I really think the piggie should be put to sleep. I personally think lots of attention will help your piggie through this tough time. :-)
