Guinea Pig Problem!

Question
I have a two year old guinea pig. He has been very healthy and happy. Recently I noticed he was limping, upon examining him I found one foot is slightly swollen on the back pad. He can still walk and even run he is just very slugish and will not eat. When I hold food or water in front of him he will eat and drink little bits at a time. There is a lack of feces in the pen also. Is this common or is there a simple remedy.

Answer
Tyler,
Lack of feces is not common unless your piggy is not eating much. You should take your piggy to the vet as soon as you can. He could have bumped his leg too hard or, he could have broken it. As for not eating much. He could have a tooth problem. Every day you should give your piggy an examination. Feet should be normal, eyes wide and shiny, ears clean, fur shiny, and teeth white and straight. Hope I helped.
