Emergency!!!!

I have 2 female cavies and i noticed recently that one is loosing weight pretty quick, so i separated them thinking that one was not letting the other eat, and i noticed she is still losing weight and just this morning i noticed she is extremely sluggish and has not really eaten anything i had them separated for a few days, so i just put them back together cause i thought she was really lonely. should i put them together? and what could be wrong? she also has this very strong smell to her i am not sure what to do please help!!!!

She needs to see a vet soon. A strong smell generally indicates a serious infection. I don't recommend putting them back together until you know what's causing her problem. She is very sick and needs to see a doctor right away. Check and see if she is in pain anywhere or if something just doesn't feel right (a lump, an overly warm spot, etc.). This will give you and your vet a better clue as to what's going on. Good luck. I'll keep her in my prayers.
