BIG BAD MITES!!!!!!

My Guinea Pig has had Mites since we got him but all of the treatments never work!!! Even the recomded ones!!! Do I have to clean his cage or something???

what type of mites is it?? if it's mange mites which live under the skin than the only cure for those parasites is ivermectin which you can get over the counter but you would have to talk to a vet to see how to mix it and the amount to give. For all other mites I would talk to a vet.
