QuestionHi there,
I just had a question about my two cavies. They are both female texels I got from a breeder that we got to know quite well. She kept us very involved in the pregnancy (we met the sow while she was pregnant) and the first few weeks of our girls life before we adopted them.
Our two girls are the best of friends and sisters. But they are growing at very different rates. One is growing faster and developing a week or two before the smaller one. I read about females have a two-horned uterus and being able to carry a second litter. Is is possible for the mother to have had two litters?
Thanks very much :)
AnswerHi Mick
Yes they do have 2 uterus although i do not think that she would have become pregnant twice as i have had babies like this before
All babies are different and babies that were stronger at birth and got more milk will develop bigger in later life
So there is no need to worry much
If you have any more questions then please ask as many as you want
Good Luck
Mitchell
