Question
A friend gave me 2 Guinea pigs 3 around 3 months ago, told me they were both male. Turns out they were male %26 female %26 the female was pregnant.  Woke up Monday morning and she had the babies over night.(5-1 died) They all seem ok but I noticed last night one of them has an eye not open.  I read that they are supposed to be open when they r born, which they all were.  How long should I wait before calling the vet?  Or is there something I can do to help him/her?  Thanks for your time, hope to here from u soon.

Answer
Hello Kara!
I suggest, with concern, washing your hands thourly, opening the eyelid and seeing if the eye itself is okay and that the piggy isnt in pain. If the eye is cloured wrong, bloodshot or sagging and if the piggy is in pain call the vet.
If not, let her be until I guess december 5th. If it still wont open or it gets worse call the vet.
Sorry, I forgot to add this. Try looking up a site called 'Guinea Lynks'. Read its information on eyes, I love that site.
