What type is best for me?

I'm having trouble trying to figure out which guinea pig is right for me. I was just in a pet shop and i saw a few long haired guinea pigs, they seem very time consuming. I go to school and seven o'clock in the morning and i get back from school around three-thirty. I want a guinea pig that will lounge around. I would like to have a piggy that is active but with in my schedule and i can let out in the morning before i go to school. I have one last question, should i get one or two guinea pigs? WOW do I have an easy answer for you!!!   You have to brush the hair on the longhaired/Peruvian piggies or cut it off, but then what is the point of having a Peruvian piggie.

So, have you ever seen a skinny pig?  They don't have hair except on the muzzle and feet.  They are my favorites and super lovable.  Please research them.  They were once lab animals gone exotic pets and just love people.  Also, I always recommend 2 litter mates of same sex.  One, they already know each other and are used to each other's company, but that doesn't guarantee total compatibility.  They are already bonded to each other as brothers or sisters.  Second. get two of the same sex or you will have a breeding party going on and you don't babies.  You need time for homework!  If you have more questions feel free to write in again.  Thanks, Cindy
