Guinea Pig- Bad Rash

Im just curiose my guinea pig has a bad rash that is beginning to bleed there are bloches all over and his nails are beginning to get long and im having a hard time setting up a vet appointment for him.....do you know what the issue could be and how if possible could i cut his nails?

Its quite possible a case of mites.

In view of the circumstances I would ask the vet to trim the nails when you take him as it may prove an extra stress if he is sick. The vet will also give ivermectin to treat the mites if that is the problem.
