Question
My teddy bear hamster ecscaped some time last night and is no where to be found. Do I have a chance of finding her? If so where should I look and how do I find her?

Answer
Hey, Vikki.
Yes, there's still a real good chance of finding her.
Here's what you should do:

-First thing, make sure that she can't get outside.. so close all doors and windows that lead ouside the house.
-Second, if you have any other pets, it'd be better to keep them out the house, if possible.
-Next, place some of her hamster food and/or treats in piles around the house. More than likely, she'll find these, and not only will it give her something to eat, but hopefully somebody will be able to hear her eating the food.
-Look for her room by room, making sure to look even in the smallest places, and especially under things (beds, furniture, etc.)
-Also, keep an eye on the piles of food you have laid around the house.. If you see that some of them are gone, then she's been there, and that's where you should look for her.
-And remember, you have more chances of finding her during the night, because it's quieter (more chances of hearing her), and she's more active during this time.

There's also other methods you can use, such as the bucket one in which, you make a stepladder out of books or anything you can stack.. have this little ladder lead up to a bucket.. and put food both on the 'ladder' and inside the bucket.  The idea is that she'll smell the food walk up the ladder and fall into the bucket.  This might work for you, and don't worry about your hamster getting hurt with the fall, because you can put a towel or something similar at the bottom of the bucket to prevent any injury.

Hope this helps you out, and good luck finding your hamster.  If you need any more info about anything, feel free to ask.
Best wishes.
