Question
I just recently got a dwarf hamster(girl). At first she would gently bite then after a while she stopped biting and she would lick me. But after i came home from my trailor after the weekend i fed her and she was doing great and i went to to pick her up. But she bit my finger hard and i pulled away. But she bit me hard enough so that when i pulled away she went flying off the roof of her house and landed on her back. ever since she has madly gone after your finger and bites instantly. Nomatter who it is. how can i fix this and how good is there memory to remember something like this.

Answer
Hi,

Sometimes if dwarfs are not handled regular they will become untame again. It could also be possible that the hamster is cage territoral which means they don't like having hands in their cage. So you will have to get the hamster out using a cup or something similar. Dwarfs are also known to bite for no reason at all. If you need anymore help with taming then please check out my website at: www.hamsterheaven.co.uk
