whats up with our hamster

we have a 6 mth old hamster (max) who is just a sweetie but i noticed yesterday he kept coming out of his bed and laying on the bottom of the cage he only moves about 3 inch before he pants and lies down agien. On checkin him today he seems to have a fat tummy and he is very slow and sleeps were you put him. What do you think is up with him?

Unfortunately, without looking at him, I honestly wouldn't know what was wrong with him; however, it does sounds like he is sick.  Once hamsters become ill, they deteriorate rapidly, so you need to take him to a vet immediately, and he or she can hopefully diagnose and treat your hamster.
