What is Happening!

My hamster Charley is hiccuping everytime i pick him up.....and i'm worried because he started hiccuping last week and still hiccuping now.Please help me on what to do with Charley.

Hello Melissa,
it sounds like the hiccuping could be snezzing. Does he only hiccup when you pick him? If so it could be something on your hand that is causing him to sneeze.I'd make sure to wash your hands really good before picking him up. If the hiccuping sound doesn't go away I would contact a vet to make sure it's not some type of cold.
