runt baby dwarf hamster

My friends hamster had babies about a month ago, and I have the runt as my pet. He seems healthy and happy but, I was wondering if theres any special diet I could put him on?

Hi Cait,

No, you won't be able to do anything to make him grow.  And, even though he's a runt, he requires the same nutrients as any other hamster.  Therefore, you should feed him a good-quality hamster mix, such as Hartz Bonanza.

Also, is there any way you can obtain another male dwarf (from the same litter) from your friend?  Your dwarf will be happier and healthier with a same-sex, same-age companion.
