Dwarf Hamsters v Gerbils

Hi, we have two gerbils. Are dwarf hamsters smaller or larger or about the same? Thanks, Cindy

I would say that dwarf hamsters are smaller.  There are different dwarf hamsters - the robos being the tiny ones.  Winter Whites, Campbells and Chinese are all more or less the same size.  Of course, it really depends how big your gerbils are - I have had very slim gerbils, but also some who are pretty rounded.  I've never actually measured them together.  Their body shape is different - hamsters are quite rounded, whereas gerbils are longer and generally more slender.
