Gerbils General

Question
Well I know alot about gerbils I was just wondering if i made a toy out of PINE and they chewed it up would it cause problems? What are Gerbil-Gender-Combonations? like....male & male, female & male, Female & Female, 3 Females, 3 Males ect.....

Hmmm.. making a chew toy out of pine probably wouldn't hurt the gerbils, although I wouldn't do it because of the oils of the wood that's where the allergies and the sickness come from generally. As far as the Gerbil-Gender-Combo Females with with females and males with males, unless you want them to mate you put one male and one female together until a few hours before her giving birth. If you put two females and one male in the same cage the females will fight over the male. :) I hope I've helped.
